Bail denied to MD of Jaipur based firm in cheating case | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 13: Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Jammu today has dismissed the bail application Managing Director of Trans Asia Distribution Limited allegedly involved in cheating of over Rs 92 Crore and breach of trust of case registered by Crime Branch Jammu. After hearing the arguments, the CJM Jammu Jatinder Singh Jamwal dismissed the bail application of one Gurpreet Singh Kohli @ Rusy Kohli Managing Director of Trans Asia Distribution Limited who allegedly is involved in cheating of Rs 92 Lacs for which a case has been registered by Crime Branch for cheating and breach of trust. According to the CPO Pawan Khajuria appeared for the State and Sr Adv MK Bhardwaj & Adv SK Anand for the complainant resisting the bail application of the accused submitted that in the present case accused has not only swindled huge amount of complainant (92, 49, 520/-) but at the same time he duped atleast three more firms. CJM Jammu Jamwal after while dismissing the bail application submitted that the case is on initial stage and it is not possible to accept at this stage the plea of counsel for the accused at the most only the commission of a bail-able offence u/s 420 RPC is established against the applicant/accused. Admittedly the accused to bail at this stage may result in derailing the investigation of the case which presently appears to be moving on the right track and dismissed the bail application. (JNF)
