Earlier, boys defeated Tripura 14-01, Gujarat by 09-01 and Kerala by 12-04 homes to finally make it to the knock-out stages of last eight,” said general secretary of the J&K Baseball Association, Fida Hussain Fidvi. “By making it to the quarterfinals, the team has done us proud. We were optimistic of making it to the semi-final at least, but as luck did not favour us this time, we would fancy another chance to realize our long cherished goal,” Association president, MM Gazanfar said.
