Chib flags off youth for training under Skill Dev Mission | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 13: Minister for Technical Education, R S Chib, flagged off 21st batch of 164 youth drawn from eight districts of Jammu Province namely for undergoing training in different Modular Employable modules under Skill Development Mission (SDM). During the training the aspirants will be imparted training in different modules like security guard, fire operator, operation/maintenance of X-ray machine and darkroom assistance, operation/maintenance of ECG and ICCU instruments and Computer Networking at G&G ITC, Raipur Rani, Panchkua, Haryana, a Vocational Training Provider recommended by DGE&T under the scheme “Training of 8000 Youth of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, (SDYJK),” the an official said It is worthwhile to mention here that, till date, 2,681 youth have completed their training outside the state in addition to 2000 youth who had been imparted training within the state. Earlier speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted various features of the scheme and asked the youth to get this innovative training with utmost care and concentration for better results. He advised them to acquire maximum skill in their opted modules which will enable them to get better employability options in public and private sector. In addition to that, they can also set up their own ventures. He said the Prime Minister has launched the scheme with a mission to impart technical training to 50 crore youth by 2022. Director Technical Education, Saurabh Bhagat apprised the Minister that the youth would be imparted training in advance module after getting successful in the basic module. Secretary, State Board of Technical Education, Nazir Hussain Malik, Deputy Director Technical Education Jammu, N. K. Gupta, Assistant Director (SDYJK) Mandeep Dogra and other officials of the department were present on the occasion.
