| GDC Kathua inaugurated “Quami Ekta week” | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, NOVEMBER 14- Quami Ekta week was inaugurated in Government Degree College, Kathua here today.
In his inaugural address Principal Dr. Netar Singh highlighted the achievements of Pt. Jawahal Lal Nehru who was a great leader and 1st Prime minister of independent India. He said that the students must learn from the dynamic personality of Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru and the efforts he made on making India a fast developing country. He lauded the efforts of N.S.S unit of the college for organising such a function and thus creating awareness among students regarding “National Integration” which is the need of the hour.
About 70 N.S.S volunteers participated in the inaugural function. The Quami Ekta Week started with poster making competition.
Dr N.K. Gupta, Dr. C. P. Sharma and Prof. P.k Amla were the jury member on the occasion and programme was organized under the guidance of N.S.S. Programme officer Dr. Suram Singh, Prof. Naresh Sharma & Prof. Kiran Bala.
Among others, senior faculty members Prof. Gopal Sharma, Prof Sunil Uppal, Prof. P. K. were also present on the occasion.
