BJP gears up for Advani’s rally

Jammu, Nov 14: The state unit of BJP has activised its cadre for a grand show to mark the arrival of Lal Krishan Advani’s “Jan Chetna Yatra ” in Jammu on Wednesday, the November 16.
BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas held a series of meetings today to finalize the arrangements for the rally scheduled to be addressed by Lal Krishan Adani on Wednesday. The meetings were attended among others by national executive member Nirmal Singh, national executive member &
chief whip Ashok Khajuria, national executive member & MLA Nagrota Jugal Kishore Sharma, national executive member & chief spokesperson
Jitendra Singh, state vice-president Chander Parkash Ganga, state general secretary Sat Sharma, State secretary Yudhvir Sethi, state spokesperson Nirmal Kamal and Jammu district president Rajesh Gupta.
Later, Shamsher Singh Manhas also convened a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) led by its president Munish Sharma and Mahila Morcha led by its president Sakina Bano.
Briefing about Advani’s programme, Jitendra Singh informed that the public rally at Dussehra Ground, Gandhi Nagar will begin at 12 noon and shall be joined by Lal Krishan Advani who is scheduled to arrive here after addressing a rally at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh and after landing at the Jammu airport will go straight to the venue at Dussehra Ground, Gandhi Nagar.
According to Singh, Advani will be accompanied to Jammu by Arun Jaitley, leader of the opposition in Rajya Sabha, BJP National Chief Spokesperson & MP, Ravi Shankar Prasad and National General Secretary Jagat Prakash Nadda.
Party's State Seh-Prabhari R.P. Singh is expected to arrive a day earlier on Tuesday itself while State Prabhari Jagdish Mukhi and Seh-Prabhari Anil Jain are expected to come on Wednesday alongwith Advani.
Shamsher Singh Manhas undertook an extensive tour of the city and appealed to public for wider participation to make November 16 “Jan Chetna Yatra” rally a grand success.
Meanwhile Nirmal Singh undertook a tour of Kathua and Ashok Khajuria alongwith others visited the venue of rally.
