BJP Migrant Cell discuss KP problems | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 14: Meeting of Bhartiya Janta Party Migrant cell was held under the chairmanship of its president, Bharat Bhushan Bhat Gosami to discuss the problems being faced by displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the exile. Addressing the meeting Bhat urged central and state Govt. to declare Kashmiri Pandits constitutionally, educationally and economically deprived and special socio economic package for upliftment of the community problems is needed. Speaking in the meeting R.K.Wangoo, Vice President of the party demnded reservation of seats in the state legislature and parliament. He said at least one seat each be reserved for the state Legislature and Lok Sabha and Raj Sabha in the Parliament. Sweety Kaul, vice president of the Migrant Cell demanded enhancement of monthly relief in favour of displaced relief holders upto Rs. 10,000/- p.m. She also demanded that one time stipend of Rs. 25 Lakhs be granted in favour of each educated KP migrant youth who has crossed the age of 40 years and is still jobless, to enable him to run his own establishment. Surinder Jalali, V. President demanded reservation of at least 10 seats in medical courses in the state for the educated migrant science students. T.N. Raina, general secy. of the cell demanded water, electricity, transport and other facilities for the people living in Jagti township. K.L.Bhan lambasted the state Government for its failure in protecting the interests of national forces and criticised for the suggestions of demolition of AFSPA from the state. He said under these circumstances all the political and other leaders should resign and surrender their PSOs and govt. vehicles to save the money which can be used for upliftment of the state.
