| Doda police works out sensational murder case | | Four accused held, more arrest likely to follow | |

In a yet another spirited effort, Doda police worked out the sensational murder case a youth within 24 hours and arrested the four accused believe to be involved in the murder with some more arrests likely to follow.
According to police reports, one person namely Wazir Mohd son of Bashir Ahmed of Bagwan Mohalla Kishtwar who was allegedly involved in a kidnapping case was admitted in Sub District Hospital, Kishtwar in unconscious condition along with the kidnapped girl. Later on he died in the hospital due to severe torture by some unknown persons. On this information, police immediately swung into action and rounded up some suspects for questioning.
During the course of investigation, police transpired that father of kidnapped girl namely Mehraj Din of Umar Mohalla, Kishtwar along with relatives Abdul Latif son of Jamloo of Bagwan Mohalla, Riaz Ahmed son of Ghulam Ahmed of Bagwan Mohalla and Ghulam Nabi son of Ghulam Mohd of Dachhan hired a vehicle bearing registration No. JK14-2920 on the intervening night of January 5-6 and forcibly took Wazir Mohd to the house of Mehraj Din and Riaz Ahmed, where they tortured him brutally. They also give him forcibly some poisonous substances with intention to kill him. Later on they left the victim and the kidnapped girl in SDH Kishtwar without informing anybody to give a shape of suicide to the matter. The victim was unable to get his statement recorded, as he was unconscious. Later on he died in the hospital. The police have arrested all the four accused. Police team headed by SHO Kishtwar, Munish Anand has worked out the case within 24 hours. Further investigation into the case was going on and some more arrests are likely to follow.
