| Painting competition held in DPL Kathua | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua Nov 14: A painting competition on the topic “Drug Abuse’ was held under the Civic Action Programme 2011 in District Police Lines (DPL) Kathua in which children from various Government and Privates Schools participated.
Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua J L Sharma inaugurated the competition and spoke about the menace of drug abuse and advised the young generation to avoid such unhealthy practices.
Rohit Baskotra Dy. SP DAR gave a board outline of the function and its objectives. Total 53 students participated in the competition.
Sonia Devi student of Government Girls Hr. Secondary School Kathua claimed the first proze while Gourav Sharma of Spring Dales English School Kathua and Laxmi Devi student of Government Girls Hr Secondary School Kathua were adjudged second and third respectively. Certificate for participation and consolation priozes were presented to other participants.
T R Khajuria, Sunil Kumar (K.V teacher) and Shri Madan Kumar (ITI teachers) acted as judges. S. Daljeet Singh Dy. SP Hqrs Kathua and other Senior Police Officers were also present on the occasion.
