| Congress workers remembered Jwahar lal Nehru | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Vijaypur Nov 14: Vijaypur Congress today organized a memorial function at Party Office-Vijaypur to remember First Prime Minister late Jawahar Lal Nehru and paid rich floral homage to the late leader on his 122nd Birth anniversary.
Former Minister and senior party leader S Manjit Singh was the chief guest of the occasion which was largely attended by the party activists and locals.
Paying homage to the late leader, chief guest S Manjit Singh described Jawahar lal Nehru as a great visionary of the country who changed the fate of India. He also highlighted contribution of Pt Nehru in the freedom struggle and his remarkable achievements as a first Prime Minister of free India. Singh exhorted the partymen and people to follow the footsteps of Nehru to maintain communal harmony in the country and state as well.
Prominent among others who also attended the meeting and paid rich tributes to Late Jawahar Lal Nehru are Distt Vice President Babbal Gupta, Sarpanch Sukhjinder Singh, Ex Sarpanch Bachan Singh Senior Leader Bhagat Sain Dass, Rajinder Sharma Bittu, Tilak Raj Sharma.
Earlier Ex Minister S Manjit SIngh along with party leaders and workers garlanded the portrait of pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and offered rich floral tributes to their leader.
