One killed, five injured in road accident near Chenani
Two women crushed to death in separate accidents

A Srinagar based businessman was killed and his five other family members received serious injuries in a road accident near Chenani last evening. Meanwhile, two women were crushed to death by speeding vehicles in separate incidents at Tikri and Katra respectively.
According to reports, Srinagar based businessman identified as Haji Mohd Yousuf son of Mohd Ramzan traveling in his car bearing registration no. JK01F-0890 alongwith his five other family members to Pampore, in Srinagar met with an accident an Jammu-Srinagar national highway near Chenani, Udhampur last evening . The said businessman was died on the spot while his five other family members received serious injuries in the accident. On the receipt of information, a police party from Chenani Police station led by S.H.O. Anu Sharma immediately rushed to the spot and shifted all critically injured persons to the ner by hospital in Udhampur . Anu Sharma also receverd a cash amount of Rs.1,14,000 from the vehicle which was later handed over by him to the injured family members. The injured has been identified as Shabnam daughter of Abdullah, Irfan Ahmed son of Mohd Yousuf, Salifa daughter of abdul Rashid and eight year old boy Mukhtiar all of pampore in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, a bus bearing registration no. JK02K-3077 an its way to Banihal from Jammu crushed to death a middle aged woman at tikri, Udhampur the woman has been identified as Barkat Devi wife of Ishar Singh of Katra. The driver of the bus namely Mohd Shafi was immediately arrested by the police and registered a case in this regard.
In a similar kind of accident at Katra, a tempo traveler bearing registration no JK14-8987 an its way to Jammu from Katra also crushed to death a middle aged woman. The identity of the deceased woman has not been as certained as yet. Meanwhile, Police has registered a case in this regard and investigating the matter
