| Court denies bail to Narco `Smugglers’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, November-15 (JNF):- The 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu
Subash C Gupta today rejected the bail application of Bhupinder Singh
S/O Sh. Gajan Singh R/O Basti Sehikh, Tehsil and District Jhallandar,
Sukhdev Singh S/O Sh. Jarnail Singh R/O Model Houe, Tehsil and
District Jhallandar (Punjab) and Ravi Kumar from whom more than 5700
capsules were recovered.
While rejecting bail applications, the court after hearing the parties observed that Drug peddlers have spread their tentacles in whole of the country and are spoiling the life of the young
generation. It is being seen that the young people are being subjected
to addictions by these Drug Peddlers, while they are in their teens.
Offences under NDPS Act have alarming effect on the society at large
as its vitalities are being eaten by the persons who are involved in
carrying out the activities of supplying drugs to the younger
generations. These are the also the factors which are causing
hindrance in allowing the bail plea of the accused—petitioners. This
court has to exercise its judicial discretion, while considering pros
and cons of the matter involved in the present case and not in casual
and routine manner. With these observations Court rejected the bail
