Jammu, Nov 15: The search of Historical Budh Stupa at Ambaran in Akhnoor by Archaeological Department of India assumes great importance due to the message of peace, brotherhood and harmony spread by Budha centuries ago.
To develop the place as a centre of Buddhist studies and research has been taken up.
In this connection the Budh Dharam Guru Dalai Lama is visiting Jammu and Ambaran. This step is likely to develop Ambarn in Akhnoor as an International tourist centre and will attract tourist from India and abroad.
Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu welcomes Dalai Lama and assures him of all help and cooperation in developing this Buddhist centre of excellence.
The Chamber believes that the visit of Dalai Lama will definitely serve as soothing touch to the strife stricken state which has been in the throes of militancy for quite long time.
