| 12 injured in Kishtwar-Doda road mishap | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Nov 15 In another road mishap sixteen passengers suffered injuries some of them critically, when a mini bus skidded off the road and turned turtle at Thathri under the jurisdiction of Police Station Thathri of district Doda this morning.
Addition Deputy Commissioner Doda Ghulam Nabi Balwan said that the ill fated Matador that turns turtle was on its way from Khara to Doda when the incident took place nearly 2 KM ahead of Thatri town. Balwan said that the driver of the ill fated vehicle lost control over his vehicle as a result of which the matador turns turtle in which 16 persons got injured, 4 of them critically.
Police said ill fated vehicle bearing registration No JK06-3916 was on its way from Katra to Doda when the mishap occurred. On receipt of the information Police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operation and retrieved the injured and rushed them to District Hospital Doda wherefrom four critically wounded persons have been airlifted to GMC &H Jammu for specialized treatment.
The injured persons who have been airlifted and admitted in GMC Jammu are ; Rafiqa Begum w/o Amin her minor son Mohd Namaana r/o Patnazi , Ab Rashid s/o Mangta Mir r/o Jawalapur Panazi and Mohd Umair s/o Bashart Malik r/o Patnazi.
SP HQ Doda Mohammad Arif Rishu told that police has registered an FIR No:- 63/2011 u/s 279, 237 RPC at Police Station Thatri and arrested driver of the vehicle Mohammad Asraf.
Meanwhile in another road mishap one motorcyclist was crushed to death when his motorcycle was hit at Diani near Palla Morh under the jurisdiction of PS Samba. The deceased has been identified as Krishan Singh s/o Maju Singh r/o Dayalchak Hiranagar .
