| Police conducts drive against illicit liquor in Pancheri | | |

Udhampur Police, in its continued drive against black-marketing of Country made Liquor, conducted raids in Sadota area under jurisdiction of Police Station Pancheri and arrested one person for selling illicit liquor in Sadota area of Panchari, with the recovery of 13 bottles of country made liquor/bear from his possession.
According to reports On a reliable information of specially cultivated source, a Police Party of Police Station Pancheri rushed to the spot and arrested one accused persons namely Jeevan Kumar Son of Kartaroo resident of Sadota, Pancheri who was selling illicit liquor from his house. Reports said 13 bottles of Country made illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. In this regard, a Case FIR No. 51/2011 U/S 48 Excise Act stands registered at Police Station Pancheri.
The general public of the area highly appreciated the timely action of Police and demanded strict action against the accused. It is Pertinent to mention here that few days earlier also, two persons were arrested from Pancheri area, with the recovery of 24 bottles of illicit liquor from them .Police said that drive will continue till this menace is completely eradicated from the Pancheri area.
