| AMC CORPS DAY CELEBRATION | | | Jammu, 08 January 2007
The 243rd Army Medical Corps Day was celebrated with great pomp and show in 166 Military Hospital Jammu on 7 January 2006.
Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has have a long way since its modest beginning in 1764. With state of Art hospitals and equipment attractive pay packing to the service personnel research in underwater and aerospace medicine cover to ex-servicemen through ECHS, a foray into alternative medicine, counter-measures agents, NBC warfare agents, interconnectivity of hospitals with telemedicine and full fledged training to doctors, said a PIB (Defence Wing), Jammu) release.
Propelled by its motto, ‘Sarve Santu Nirmaya’ (Let all be free from disease and disability) the Army doctor’s looks ahead to new challenges and celebrates in Corps Day. The occasion was graced by Lt Gen TK Sapru, YSM, GOC 16 Corps, Maj Gen AK Malik GOC 10 Inf Div, Maj Gen Sanjeev Loomba GOC 26 Inf Div and many senior Military and civil dignitaries.
