| BJP leader concerned over neglect of ancient Krimchi temples | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Nov 16: Bharatiya Janta Party senior leader and state Executive member Manju Gupta has shown deep concern over the long delay in providing road connectivity to ancient Krimchi Pandav temples in Udhampur and has demanded road connectivity and other basic facilities at historical monument.
Party women wing leader Manju Gupta held a meeting here in which issue related to the development of Udhampur were discussed at length. Speaking on the occasion she shown great concern over it that step motherly treatment is being done with area and number of places having tourism potential are being neglected by state government .
She alleged that government and district administration has failed to connect kirmichi Pandav temple with road which is just two kilometer . She added that the tall claims of the state government and administration to promote the cultural heritage and tourism seems exposed on ground as the centuries old Ancient Pandav temple in Udhampur district sans road connectivity and other basic facilities till date .
She added that Temples situated ten kilometers away from main Udhampur city on Udhampur Pancheri road and having historically significance is one of the most appropriate sites as far as heritage tourism is concerned but due to neglect of government place has been deprived of the basic infrastructures like the road connectivity and the drinking water facility.
She said that despite being preserved as monument of national importance and presently managed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) but the place is still waiting for its proper development. She said that the development of the heritage site could not be achieved until and unless a proper road connection is evolved.
Castigating sitting MLA and congress MP she said that both are mum about the development of place having tourism potential .She demanded that places such as Sudh Mahadev, Patnitop, Pancheri, Basantgarh, Ramnagar should be brought on tourism map so that economy of the area could get boost.
