| HC issues show cause notice PIO JKLA | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, November-16 (JNF):- The High Court has issued notice in a two petitions filed by BR Manhas regarding the non-supply of information by the Public Information Officer Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly despite receiving two applications moved in this behalf on February 15, and February 18,
2010 and the appeal filed by the petitioner before Secretary J&K
Legislative Assembly too has not been decided till date when the
secretary was not in any way unable to pass appropriate orders on the
appeal.
Justice JP Singh after
hearing petitioner in person and Advocate Naresh Sharma for the respondents
issued notice to the Public Information Officer J&K Legislative
Assembly to show cause as to why penalty, in terms of section 17 of
Jammu & Kashmir right to Information Act 2009, be not imposed on him
for violating the provisions of the Act. JNF
