| 10 RR organizes 10 days educational tour for the students of Doda District | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA, Nov 16: In an effort to motivate and educate the young students hailing from remote and far- flung areas of the District Doda, the 10 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) unit of Doda has organizes 10 days educational cum motivational tour of 28 students hailing from remote areas of the region including Marmat, Dessa, Bhagwah, Sazan and other areas to Jalandhar, Chandigarh, Dharamshalla and Shimla areas.
The aim of the tour is to give exposure to the students about the varied development that are taking place in the rest of the country and to introduce them to aware of the rich heritage and cultural grandeur of the country and also to make them understand the secular nature of the nation.
The administrative staff is being provided by 10 RR Unit including Babu Ram HOD Chemistry GDC Doda, Major George of 10RR and a teacher Sagar who will accompany the students on the tour.
The tour was flagged off by Officiating Commander (4 SECTOR) V.S.Sankhyan along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda Varinder Sharma beside Officiating CO 10RR Major Tanay Kothiyal and Adjutant 10RR Major Gaurav were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest V.S.Sankhyan conveyed his best wishes to the tour and stressed the students to become responsible and good citizen.
He also encouraged them to be inquisitive and learn about the culture and people of our great nation. Beside this large number of officers from civil administration and army were also present on the occasion.
It is said that during this 10 days tour, the students will also interact with the eminent personalities and dignitaries of the Indian Society.
The students were extremely enthusiastic and excited about the tour. However the local populace including the parents and teachers of the students hailed the tour, appreciated the concept and conveyed gratitude to the Army for organizing such educational and motivational tour for the students of this region.
