| School children participate in quiz competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Bhaderwah, Nov16: The children of whole Doda district Government Higher Secondary Schools today participated in a quiz competition organised by Army 4 RR Bihar in GHSS Boys Bhaderwah area of Doda Distt.
There was overwhelming response from the students as they got a chance to showcase their talent and knowledge.
Ajit Singh Kotwal Principal Govt Hr Sec School Boys Bhaderwah remarked that “In addition to the traditional curriculum which we teach in school, these kind of competitive activities go a long way in building the confidence and enhancing the self belief in the young minds of this far flung area”.
There were ten teams which participated in the competition and the participants were quizzed on variety of subjects ranging from geography, general knowledge etc. The results produced by the participants were of a high standard and indicative of the socio-cultural development in the area.
Prominent citizens of the whole Doda district who were present, thanked the Rashtriya Rifles 4 Battalion for this initiative and “These kind of initiatives by the government are always welcome as they help people of far flung areas to relate with the main stream activities.”ASP Bhaderwah Roop Raj Bhagat , SDPO Jameel Ahmed and SHO Surinder Rao who were present also thanked the Army for conducting this quiz competition and said that “We would like the Army to conduct these kind of events in our school in the future as well”.
The event concluded when CO 4 RR distributed prizes to the winners.
