| Awareness cum Training Camp under SGSY organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Surankote Nov 16: An awareness cum training camp under Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) scheme was organized in Surankote Block by the Rural Development Department, Poonch.
The camp was organized with an aim for creating awareness about the activities under the said scheme.
Ashok Kumar, Project Officer, DRDA presented the welcome address and described in detail activities under said scheme. Speaking on the occasion Dr Anirudh Rai, Block Development Officer, Surankote gave the detailed charter of activities and achievements under said scheme in the Block Surankote focused on the concept of establishing micro enterprises under the said scheme for economic upliftment of the rural masses.
The resource persons from different departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal husbandry, Khadi Village and Industries Board,Veteinary, Banks & NGO’s also highlighted various aspects of the scheme for the welfare and upliftment of the rural people with special focus on women. Among the participants were Sarpanches, Panches, Individual Swarojgaris, Self help group members, NGOs and locals. |
