| EDB opens business units in Ananatnag, Banihal | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar , Nov 16: Ellaquai Dehati Bank opened its two more business units, one at Larm Gamgi Pora Ananatnag and other at Banihal.
Inaugurating the business units chairman A.K.Razdan spoke about the role and functions of the bank and highlighted the extra ordinary performance of bank in agriculture and SME sector financing.
Speaking on the occasion Razdan said that these branches will be one stop shop where all kinds of financial services, under various deposit and loanschemes are available to its customers.
He said that our bank is committed to take financial services to the doors of the society.
At Banihal he said that we are delighted to have started our operations in the Ramban District also and within days more number of branches will be opened in the district.
He said that with the expansion in branch net work, the banks reach to the unbanked areas has got more widened and banks role efficacy for socio economic development of the state becomes more extended.
He said our focus will be to provide the financial services to rural poor at affordable costs.
The events registered a good presence of the public and on the very first day our business unit at Larm Gamgi Pora Anantnag did a business of more than rupees fifty lacs.
