Paharis demand ST status, hold demonstrations

Rajouri jan 8 Pahari community of twin border Distt of Rajouri Poonch Uri- Karna and Kapwara have once again resorted to the path of agitation and in 1st phase protest rallies at all the Pahari Teshil and Distt headquarter were held urging upon state and centre govt. for the resolution of their issue of S.T. status to paharis. Massive demonstration and rallies were held to register there just genuine and justified demand. All the sister concern/ Organisation /forum/and solidarity and fully supported to historic symbolic also start the similar agitation from a united single platform in case the union and the state govt. do not come up to the expectation with regard to grant of S.T. Status of Pahari community residing near LOC Pahari region Rajouri/ Poonch /Uri –Karnan Kapwara and Baramullah. The rally procession in Rajouri started from Children Park Rajouri where sky- Rocketing Slogan’s where raised in favour of their demands passing through market and different streets. The rally was addressed at Children Park by Aslam Mirza, District president Pahari forum Rahmeen Mirza, MA Manas, Councilor Barat Bushan Councilor, Waseem Mirza president Pahari youth Sajjad Mirza , Vijay Sharma , K U Malik Farooq Mirza , Mohd Mustafa Qureshi Arshas Mehmood Mirza , Mustaq Mir , Tahir Shawal , Fareed Charack, Anil Chanden , Haji Talib Mirza , Mustaq Dar , Shafqat Wani, Ishtaq Bhat Mr. Shahbaz Khan sate co-ordinator appealed to the Pahari tribal speaking to join there heads and hands to fight unitedly for the most burning and last pending demands of the Pahari community.
Mr. Shahbaz Khan State Coordinator said that Pahari community is prepared for election by – cott, if Govt. failed to grant ST-Status before ensuing election Mr. Khan appealed to the youth to fight and struggle for their legitimate right because struggle is ultimate solution to every problem and no body on earth can stop us to do so Mr. Khan said that Pahari community particularly Pahari youth and employ have suffered a lot they could not suffer any more and any delay on the part Govt. can force the frustrated and agitated youth to come out in Streets for their genuine rights these un employed youth who are the most suffer and discriminated in all sphere of life can be mis used and mis led by the anti-national and anti social element.
The agigating gathering also Blocked main Abdulla Bridge of Rajouri for two hours disrupting the traffic were thousand of Pahari people participated the gathering at Mandi chowk and Bridge was addressed by :- Aijaz Ahmed District President Student Union, Tahir Mirza President College Student Union, Mohd Hanif, Mohd Ayoub Khan, Raj Kumar, Riyaz Mirza, Ifthkar Bhat, Dr. Abdul Haq, Sat Pal, Tilak Raj, Aijaz Ahmed Malik and N.H. Shah. Mr. Aslam Mirza presented vote of thanks to the people who came from for flung areas of the District.
