| 1 dead, another injured in accident | | |
JAMMU: In a tragic road accident on Kishtwar-Srinagar National Highway near Sinthan top, one person identified as Hajji Ghulam Mohammad Ganie resident of Chatroo Tehsil in Kishtwar District died on spot while another person identified as Maqbool Ahmed Wani also resident of Chatroo and an employee of RDD department Kishtwar was seriously injured and was referred to SKIMS Srinager for treatment.
According to reports, Maqbool Ahmed was driving an ill fated vehicle bearing Registration No: DL9C-625, which was on its way from Kishtwar to Srinagar. The reports said that while reaching near Sinthan top, Maqbool lost his control over the vehicle as a result of which the vehicle plunged into deep gorge result into the death of one person and injury to other who were later with the help of the local people and police was shifted to nearby hospital in Kokarnag where one person was declared as brought dead while another were referred to SKIM.
