| Two –day intensive training programme on e- governance inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, November 17 : : Two day intensive training programme on e - Governance was inaugurated by Principal secretary Housing and Urban development Suresh Kumar at conference hall of DC Office .
As a part of the e-governance project, the Housing and Urban development department has organized the training to familiarize the Officers of the concerned departments and the staff with the working of the applications like Birth and Death registration, Building Permission and Public grievance redressal system, shifting of Municipal Accounting system from single entry cash to accrual based double entry system, employee information system and utility Billing. Officers were given demonstration about the working of these applications and detailed discussions were held among the participants.
Principal Secretary on the occasion said that these applications have been introduced in the Urban Local Bodies of the state for transparent functioning and providing efficient services to Citizens at their doorsteps.
He further said that these are web based services and hence status of the services can be accessed by the applicant at www.ulb.gov.in. Further the applicants would be informed about the services through e-mail and SMSs by the concerned departments. DDC Kathua Zahidha Parveen Khan was also present on the occasion.
She said that application of e-governance is a step forward for attaining the good governance. .
