| MLA Poonch distributes relief cheques in Poonch | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch Nov 17: MLA Poonch Ajaz Ahmed Jan today distributed relief cheques amounting to Rs 7.30 lacks in Dara Bagial and Degwar Terwan panchayats of block Poonch to the drought affected people.
The relief amounting to Rs 7.30 lacs was distributed among beneficiaries hailing from of 370 families during the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Jan directed Tehsildar Haveli Nissar Shad for completing the relief cheques of remaining families within week time so that people may get their due share at an earliest. He also inspected various works under MGNREGA and directed BDO Poonch Aijaz Qaiser to ensure their speedy completion so that targets could be achieved well in time and supplementary plan under the act may be formulated and executed as well. The directed Chief Agriculture officer Poonch to start work on a bore well at the cost of Rs 17.50 Lakh which was the being demanded by the public on spot.
The newly elected Surpanches and Panches of the adjoining villages were also present in the occasion who thanked the legislator for redressing the public grievances in a record time. MLA issued on spot directions to the AEE PDD who was accompanying the legislator for arranging poles for these panchayats and sanctioned Rs 2 lakh out of his constituency development fund.
Later on the MLA accompanied with BDO Poonch, Tehsildar Poonch ,Naib Tehisildar. Chief Agriculture Officer Poonch, Horticulture Officer, AEE PDD, AEE PMGSY, Project Officer Haryaali and JE's of PWD & PHE inspected various developmental works in the area
