| Broad daylight burglary at Jallochak | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 17: Burglars today struck in broad daylight at the house of a NHPC employee at lower Jallochak in Gangyal area here and decamped with gold jewellery, cash and other costlier items worth lakhs.
The burglars struck in the afternoon when everyone in the family was away from home, police sources said.
They entered the house of NHPC employee Mohan Lal by breaking open the entry door at a time when there was no one inside. While Mohan had gone to office, his wife Sharda had gone to market, the sources added.
The thieves stole from the house over 20 tolas of gold, Rs 50,000 in cash, a DVD player and other costlier items worth lakhs.
Though police had registered a case in this connection, the accused were yet to be apprehended.
