| YMP for Save Environment | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 17: Youth Movement for Peace (YMP) organized 2 days program in MayFair Hr. Sec. School, Chand Nagar, Jammu.
In the 2 days programme, a painting competition was organized with the aim of making students aware of the problems entangling with the environment.
The topic of the competition was “Save Environment”. About 180 students from Class IV to Class X participated in this competition.
Different themes like Pollution, Global Warming, Deforestation, etc. were taken by the students for their Painting Competition.
Pallavi Dogra (Class VIII), Mehak Gupta (Class IX), Simran Jeet Kour (Class VII) and Taniya Dogra (Class X) clinched 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Consolation prize in Senior Category. and in Junior Category, Mukesh Sharma (Class VI), Paramjeet (Class V), Anjali Devi (Class VI) got 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize respectively while Ujjawal (Class IV) and Shivani Mehra (Class V) shared consolation prize.
R.R. Khajuria (president, Vichar Kranti Manch International) was the guest of honour and Vikas Sharma (chairman, YMP) was the chief guest on this occasion.
They awarded the meritorious students and appreciated all the students for their great performance and participation.
They encouraged the students to participate in these kinds of competitions and awareness programs. Sharma said, “These programs help in grooming the talent of the students and constraint the students to ponder over the problems faced by us. As the students are the pillars of nation, so it’s our duty to mould them into responsible and good citizens for the welfare and betterment of our society.”

Sharma, Rekha Sharma (general secretary, YMP), Ranjana Sharma (vice-chairman, YMP), Vijay Basur (chairman, May Fair Hr. Sec. School), Abhay Basur (principal, May Fair Hr. Sec. School), S.Gagandeep Singh (secretary, YMP), Aashita (office adm, YMP), Ajay Sharma and Meenakshi Kour (manager, YMP) were also present on this occasion. |
