| White Knight Corps organises blood donation camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 18:A Blood donation camp was organized by 166 Military Hospital, Jammu and White Knight Corps Dental Unit at Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu, today. Brig Vipan Gupta, Brig Administration White Knight Corps alongwith Brig AS Bansal, Brig Medical of White Knight Corps inaugurated the camp. They were taken around the blood donation camp after a short briefing by Brig SPS Kochhar, Commandant of 166 Military Hospital. Civilian dignitaries and senior officials from IIIM also visited the camp.
White Knight Corps Dental Unit and 166 Military Hospital established this adhoc White Knight Corps Blood Supply Unit at IIIM with an aim to ascertain the feasibility and ground situation of Blood Bank and Bleeding of Donors and supply of blood to the area of responsibility of White Knight Corps zone in case of emergency. A huge number of enthusiastic youths, boys and girl students, NCC cadets, Army personnel turned up during the camp.
While speaking to the young lot, Brig AS Bansal told them to aim high and contribute positively towards the society and state by becoming responsible citizens. There was a lot of gaiety, excitement and expectations amongst the donors who came for the first time in a blood donation camp.
During interaction with NCC Cadets and students, Brig SPS Kochhar said,“ Army has taken up this noble cause which could save a number of innocent lives in remote areas and would make people more responsible towards the society as it brings in a sense of social activism amongst the donors. An event of this magnitude has attracted a tremendous response from the civilians and will surely be remembered by us.”
