Chaman rues Jaitely equating J&K MLAs action along with those of Rajwaras | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, nov 18: Former Union Minister and MLA Chaman Lal Gupta has strongly resented over the remarks of BJP senior leaders Arun Jaitley, equating the action taken against him and six members of the Assembly with the princess (Rajwaras) of Rajasthan who were the members of then Ram Rajya Parishad in Rajasthan in early fifties. He said that these princess were opposed to a system but in Jammu and Kashmir the action has been taken against him and others who were activist over the decades and served the great ideology through thick and thin. Gupta himself had been there for over six decades and work with all his dedications but never thought of harming the organization, which of course was built by many through their great hardships and sufferings. The action taken against him and others was never substantiated and even agreed by no less than a person of Jagdish Mukhi, incharge (Prabhari) of party affairs in J&K, and other leader who never wanted BJP to be finished in J&K. Gupta described the episode of cross-voting as part of a design in which some internal and external persons were involved. It is an issue which needed a probe on many accounts including that one of fielding the candidates when the BJP was having just eleven members and it needed the support of at least 26 members for a win. More over when there was apprehension of cross voting the two members had suggested abstaining from voting but the suggestion was brush aside. He said it was highly agonizing and painful for him what had happened and it has added to his agony now when salt has been added to the injury. Gupta appealed to all well wishers of the party to see that how the organization in this sensitive part of the country is being weakened but for a design and vested interests who have been given free hand by the centre. Nationalists forces are weakened and their leadership finished.
