Effective, highly modified and regulative traffic control system needed in Rajouri
11/18/2011 8:42:40 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Rajouri, Nov 18: The issue of traffic rule violation has emerged as one of the major problem in Rajouri and the concerned Govt machinery is failing badly in tackling the problem.
In every corner and on every route of district Rajouri, the violation of traffic rules is on the peak and no Govt authority seem to do anything in this respect.
Thousands of minor age youngsters below 18 years are driving motor vehicles without having proper authority and licenses.
Overloading as well as over-speeding are two such bad aspects which have converted into daily habits of Rajourians.
Motor bike, 3 wheeler rickshaws or 4 wheeler auto's, motor cars, minibuses and buses, tempo etc, are seen manning the roads in clear violation of traffic rules.
Drivers do not wear alloted uniforms, they drive passenger or goods carrier vehicles without permission, high decibles horns and music systems are being used in vehicles. Due to mass level parking in No Parking Zones, the busy and important places as Gujjar Mandi, Jawahar Nagar, Kheora, Bus Stand , Panja Chowk and many others have became as hubs of traffic jams.
Whereas the Traffic police and Transport authorities are concerned, none of these seem to be serious in tackling the problem.
In traces, the blue uniformed traffic policemen can be seen on roads lying check points and nakas, but this all seem to be completely insufficient in the motive.
In all overall sense, the public of Rajouri demands a strong, effective, highly modified and resultive traffic control system.
