| GHSS Boys Doda Organizes Symposium on Pandit Nehru | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
DODA Nov 18: To commemorate 122nd birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the Govt Hr Secondary School (Boys) Doda celebrated the Children’s Day with great fervor and enthusiasm on the other day.
On this occasion, a symposium was held in the premises of school in which different educational institutions of Doda participated.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda, Y.R.Thusoo was the Chief Guest while Principal GHSS Boys Doda Nek Ram presided over the programme beside Senior Lecturer Tanvir Ahmed Wani, Senior Lecturer Ghulam Nabi Butt, Master Zaffarullah Khan and Master Om Parkash was also present on the occasion.
Students drawn from different schools participated in the symposium and threw light on the life and achievements of Nehru. Earlier students also presented colorful programme on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Y R Thusoo congratulated the management of the school for organizing such programme on this important occasion. He stressed upon the students to work hard and do good for the betterment and development of the nation.
Madeeha Tabassum, Sandesh Kumar and Himani Kotwal were adjudged as the winners in the symposium for the top three places respectively.
The whole programme was conducted by Senior Lecturer Physics, Tanvir Ahmed Wani. In the end Chief Guest distributed prizes among the participants.
