Mehbooba visits 'bereaved family of Malik' in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Nov 18: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti today visited the residence of party leader Rehmat-ullah-Malik, general secretary of the trade union wing of the party at Kishtwar who got killed in a road mishap on Thursday to expressed condolence to the bereaved family.
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti was accompanied by party leader Sayed Asgar Ali, member of the legislative council.
While expressing her grief over demise of Rehmat-ullah-Malik, Mehbooba Mufti recalled services of deceased towards upliftment of working class throughout his life had worked for the betterment of weaker sections of the society.
Mehbooba Mufti , while expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, said that entire PDP is with the bereaved family of Malik at this time of sorrow and grief.
Malik along with two of his women family members was killed in a tragic road accident near Assar on Batote-Kishtwar road on Thursday.
Mehbooba Mufti, while expressing her concern over repeated road accidents in the state, she said that roads in erstwhile Doda district have become death traps due to brute exploitation of the natural resources in this belt which led to worst ever ecological disaster in this belt. She especially mentioned that natural resources of this
belt, be it forest or water, were brutally exploitation which resulted into ecological degradation in Chenab Valley belt. She said that mindless exploitation of natural resources have led to soil erosion in this belt in large scale and it led into repeated road accidents. She said that both National Conference and Congress have exploited people of erstwhile Doda district for petty political gains but failed to provide basic amenities like roads to the people.
