| Land mafia given free hand by the government: PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Nov 19: The People’s Democratic Party on Saturday castigated the state government for giving a free hand to the land mafia that is running riot in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press statement issued here today the party has accused Custodian Department, which deals with land proprietary system, of producing fake documents to allot land to some officials, influential people and land mafia.
Some key officials backed by National Conference are to be blamed for this mess who make sure that the land mafia operates with impunity, zonal president, Abdul Aziz Wani has alleged.
