| Lok Adalat held at Majalta | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur Nov 19: In a major initiative to cut down judicial backlog,the Tehsil Legal Services Committee Majalta organized a Lok Adalat under the chairman ship of Preet Simran Kour Munsiff (JMIC) at the Court complex , today .
In the Lok Adalat three cases of different nature were taken and all three cases were settled on spot.
Speaking on the occasion Preet Simran Kour Munsiff (JMIC), who also happened to be chairman, Tehsil
Legal Services Committee, Majalta , made the people aware about the legal aid being provided to the poor people.
She called for mediation and conciliation for settling the disputes and also called upon the people to take recourse to Lok Adalats.
She made the participants aware about various acts and schemes launched by the Government for the farewell of public.
He urged the people to avail benefits of the schemes.
Lok Adalat witnessed a cheering response from litigants, who came forward to settle their long-pending disputes, escaping the ruinous cost of litigation and technical procedures.
Bar President Susheel Sharma ,Secy Mohan Lal & Bar members attended the camp.
