| Winners of 3rd Jammu Marathon announced | | Prizes announced in junior categories too | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 19: Board of Development for Sports in India (BDSI) today announced the names of the winners of Third Jammu Marathon.
In a statement issued here, Director, Board of Development for Sports in India, Amit Sethi stated that since there was a big participation of young athletes, the Board committee has decided to give consolation prizes in the junior category (male) also.
In the senior (male) category, Gulam Mohammad secured the first position. Mohammad Tariq got the 2nd whereas Ram Raj bagged the third position.
In the junior category, Prabjot Singh secured the first position;
Charanjeet Singh got the 2nd position while Gulshan Kumar bagged the third position. All these participants will be given the consolation prizes.
Mandeep Kaur bagged the first position in female category, Anjali Choudhary secured the second while Meenu Sangra got the third position.
Amit Sethi thanked the judges from the athletic association Mast Ram, Gurbachan Singh and Surinder Gupta for sparing their time.
He thanked various sports organizations for sparing their invaluable support to the third Jammu Marathon. He also thanked the people of Jammu who have come out in great numbers to make this event a big success.
Amit Sethi stated that the winners are requested to contact at thir official address along with their registration number and identity proof. The prizes will be distributed among the participants at an award ceremony.
The time and venue of the award ceremony will be announced very soon in the coming days.
