Lone’s ‘vision document’ fantasy of a sleepwalker, Bijral
1/9/2007 10:59:19 PM
JAMMU JAN 09
Commenting on the People’s Conference Chief Sajjad Lone’s much hyped ‘vision document’, People’s Democratic Party (Nationalist), Secretary General G S Bijral described it as a ‘confusing document’, ‘ calling it a fantasy of a sleep walker, whose senses are blurred and bolted from within a somnambulist’.
‘Co-relating Jammu and Kashmir with that of Punjab, Bijral said all can be set at rest once the gun wielding terror is completely wiped out from the State as was done in Punjab in recent past’. The talk of ‘Independent Home land’ is a ‘ farce and a bunch of carrots before the gullible innocent people of the state to mislead them to a booby death trap’, he added. Citing the fate of people on the other side of the border, he said that they are deprived of the freedom of electing their own government and the martial law prevails not only in ‘so called Azad Kashmir’ but also in whole of Pakistan.
‘Saying that vision or confusion of Lone documented in the shape of a premix of Hong Kong, Northern Ireland and Nepal models is nothing but an imaginary world to mislead the people and called it a ‘big bluff’ that leaders in Kashmir are playing on the people in the race for one up leadership.
Vikram Sabharwal General Secretary of the Party has called the people of the Valley to revive erstwhile Muslim United Front to take the driving seat and steer out the Kashmir valley from the current turmoil and appealed to the wise Kashmiri’ think tank’ to put their heads together and take a cue from Punjab where Akali Dal is nourishing local political and religious aspirations of the people.
