Bovine smuggling foiled, 2 held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 19: Foling a bovine smuggling bid, police today apprehended two persons at Phinter in Billawar, Kathua, while they were carrying three milch animals to Kashmir. During routine patrolling at Phinter, police intercepted a load carrier (JK08B/8023) and recovered three milch animals from it. The animals were being smuggled to Kashmir for slaughtering them, police sources said. Soon after the recovery of cattle, police seized the load carrier and arrested the accused who were identified as Mohammad Aslam (driver), son of Jamal Din of Kishanpur, Billawar, and Reham Ali, son of Yousaf of Baggan, Billawar. A case was registered against them under section 188 of RPC at Billawar police station.
