Deputation of J&K Pradesh Congress meets Sonia Gandhi

JAMMU , A deputation of Jammu & Kashmir Pardesh Congress District Ganderbal led by senior Congress leader and District President Shiekh Ishfaq Jabbar met the President of Indian National Congress Sonia Gandhi, General Secretary- AICC Rahul Gandhi General Secretary and Incharge Political Affairs of J&K State Mohan Parkash, Member Kashmir Committee and senior leader Makhan Lal Fotedar and General Secretary and Political Advisor AICC Ahmed Mohd. Patel
During the meeting the delegation apprised Sonia Gandhi about the sentiments and expectations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the party workers. During the meeting the Sonia Gandhi expressed her concern that some opportunists clad with the congress affiliation are trying to bring the congress at backfoot which cannot be tolerated at any cost and action shall be taken against such persons involved against party anti activities in near future.
Rahul Gandhi advised the delegation to exert every effort to strengthen the congress party in J&K State and to extend the party manifesto to gross root level. Rahul Gandhi further assured the
delegation that the congress party shall not tolerate any internal or external force which may weaken the party credibility.
At last the delegation on behalf of the people of district Ganderbal applauded the President of AICC Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh for establishment of Central University in District Ganderbal which was their long pending demand.
Shiekh Ishfaq Jabbar and Mohd. Yaqoob Kapra (Congress Leader and Sarpanch Kangan) thanked the Indian Government and Congress High Command for institutions which has helped the common people to redress their demands at their door steps.
Besides others, the delegation comprised of Sheikh Ajaz (Kangan), Ashok Kumar Karhalo (Lar), Ravinder Bhat (Manigam), Sanjay Koul (Kangan), Mohd. Rafiq Mir (Lar), Pappu Bhat (Manigam) etc.
