| Congress devoted to strengthen Panchayati Raj in the real sense in State . | | Pays rich tributes to Late Smt Indira Gandhi on her B’Anniversary | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar Nov 19: Prof Saifuddin Soz MP (Former Union Minister) & President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee today reiterated that Congress is trying to take up the State Government for adoption of 73rd amendment of the constitution of India for strengthening the Panchayati Raj System, in the real sense of the term.
While addressing public rallied at Kupwara, Trehgam and Kralpora (District Kupwara) today the Congress leader reaffirmed that party is endevouring for the strengthening the Panchayati Raj System, in the real sense of the term.
Prof Soz was accompanied by R.S. Chib Minister of Medical Education and YSS, Mohd Amin Khan District President Senior Leaders Ch. Salam ud din, Gh Rasool Tikri, Saifullah Khan, Insha, Abdul Ahad Shah, Haji Farooq Mir, Nazir Ahmad Lone and others.
At the three places Prof. Soz highlighted that fact that Congress party is trying hard to plead with the Statement Government for adoption of 73rd amendment of the constitution of India for strengthening the Panchayati Raj System, in the real sense of the term.
On the occasions Prof Soz approved many development works including upgradation of Scientific Equipments for two higher Secondary Schools at Trehgam and provided Rs. 3.00 Lacs. He also informed that he had taken up the matter regarding conducting survey for extension of Qazigund-Baramulla railway line to Kralpora through Kupwara and the Railway department was going to conduct the survey soon. Prof. Soz highlighted the fact that Congress party was in the fore front for strengthening the dialogue process for peace and development.
Reminding the sacrifices and matchless sacrifices made by the late Prime Minister Smt Indira Gandhi, Prof Soz said that Nation today is observing 94th Birth Anniversary of Smt Indira Gandhi who had made the supreme sacrifices by laying down her life for the cause of the Nation
Speaking on this occasion Prof. Soz said that all the public demands highlighted at the three places were genuine and would be fulfilled as early as possible.
Speaking on this occasion R S Chib Minister of Medical Education & YSS told the people that Government is fully committed to improve the youth in the field of Technical Education and sports. He appreciated the work done by the Volunteers of NYC which has been constituted under the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan.
While speaking about the development of Rural Sports in the state under PYKKA, Minister said he had demanded with Government of India that remuneration of Kridashri at Panchayat and Block level should be enhanced from Rs. 500 to 2000 and Rs. 1000 to 3000. He assured the people that within next three years all the Panchayat and Blocks will be covered under PYKKA,
