| MLC Subhash Gupta inaugurates MGNREGA project | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua Nov 19: MLC Subash Gupta today inaugurating lanes and drains work at Rajpura village executed at a cost of Rs. 3.45 Lakhs under MGNREGA in Hiranagar constituency.
MLC was accompanied by a team of block level officers of Ghagwal and newly elected Surpanches and Panches of the adjoining villages were also present.
People of village Rajpura projected their long pending demands pertaining to shortage of APL ration, electric polls, fresh BPL survey, widow pension, repair of PHE water pipes, electric transformer, platform along side peepal tree, upgradation of high Secondary School.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta assured the people that all their remaining genuine demands would be taken up by the concerned departments at the earliest. He said 60 electric polls were sanctioned for Rajpura village. He announced Rs. 30 thousand for the construction of peepal tree platform. He said construction of Check Dam Rajpura to Sujana will be started under MGNREGA at an estimate cost Rs. 7.16 lakhs.
Later, MLC inaugurated construction of road Rajpura to Sujana at an estimate cost Rs. 2.50 lakhs under Border Area Development Authority
