| Secretary JKAACL relieved overnight, Dullo made incharge | | |

Jammu, Nov 19: Commissioner/Secretary Tourism Atal Dulloo has been given temporary charge as Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) reliving Zafar Iqbal Manhas who reached superannuation on August 31.
Official sources said orders to give temporary charge to Dulloo were issued today by General Administration Department (GAD). Manhas had retired in August but was given an extension of two months until October 31. However, he continued to hold the charge reportedly on "verbal orders" and was asked to relinquish the charge today.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in his capacity as President of the Academy had constituted a Search Committee headed by noted writer Mohammed Yousuf Taing to find a successor for Manhas. Committee has already submitted a penal of five names to him. However, no decision has been taken as yet. |
