| BJP allege black rates in fertilizer, farmers at dismay | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur Nov 20: Bhartiya Janta Party Senior leader Manju Gupta has shown deep concern over the black marketing of Fertilizer. She alleged that framers are facing great problem and allege concerned department cooperative society who fail to supply fertilizer to the dealers’ outlet.
She alleged that local fertilizers stores are openly selling fertilizers at black rates of their choice to the farmers.
BJP leader has expressed great concern towards concerned department cooperative society who supposes to provide fertilizers to the farmers but utterly fail to provide it. She added that last year fertilizer (Dia) was sold @ of rupees 560/= but this year it being being sold at @ of rupees 940/= to 970/= at the choice of sellers and duping huge money from the innocent farmers. Singh further took a dig on the concerned department for their indifferent attitude towards the farmers community since Govt. fail make available fertilizers at cooperative stores but bent upon sold it through dealers outlets.
She added that farmers are hapless to purchase fertilizers from the dealers and force to pay excess rates which are quite unjustified.
She alleged that concern department as well as local administration has become mute spectator and not paying due attention towards miseries of the farmers. He asserted that much of the farmers are dependant upon farming and have no other mean of source of income to feed their families are being badly affecting.
