Jagti migrants hold protest, demand reshuffling of Relief Organisation

JAMMU, Nov 20:The office bearers and members of Jagti Tenement Committee held a protest rally at 174 Block of Jagti TRT Camp Nagrota.
The protest was held under the chairmanship of BL Raina, Chairman of the committee.
The protest rally was held to highlight the problems being faced by the inmates (migrants) of Jagti Migrant camp.
The members said that corruption is prevailing in the Relief Organization (M) Jammu which has made the migrants to suffer hard. They demanded reshuffling of the Relief Organization by transferring all those employees having over due stay and adjusting other employees in the Relief organization.
The members said that sub standard materials have been used in construction of Jagti township which has resulted that cracks developed in various building besides leakages are being experienced, in Bath rooms. sewerage system, sanitary system which has further added to the sufferings of the inmates, this has necessitated immediate probe through CIB.
The Vigilance organisation J&K Jammu has been appealed to take up the matter for investigations and booking the accused responsible for negligence of their duties.
The members have demanded proportionate share out of Kashmir valley for resettlement of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrants in valley besides it has been demanded that an amount of Rs 50 lakh be paid in cash to each migrant family enabling them to construct their own residential houses in the land specified for rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Migrants.
The remaining posts of Prime Ministers employment package be advertised immediately for adjusting the remaining educated youth in the government jobs.
A demand for creating additional 500 posts for class IV employees for those candidates of Kashmiri Pandit Migrants who could not continue their studies beyond Matriculation due to poverty.
The members have demanded one time lump sum compensation in favour or those candidates who have crossed their over age limits.
