‘Don’t post local staffers outside’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Nov 20:General Secretary, All India Punjab National Bank Officers’ Federation, T R Verma Sunday urged the Government that the employees of Kashmir valley should not be posted outside. “There is acute shortage of staff in the branches and special recruitment of officers and workmen staff are required to be done for posting in Kashmir valley to fill up vacancies,” Verma said addressing a press conference here. He said besides, there were others issues as well which need attention like, regulating working hours, five-day week and parity with State Bank of India on pay package, allowances and pension. “These are long outstanding demands of AIBOAF,” he added. However, he lamented that the 6th pay commission offers pay scales to the government employees and the Bank officials are at a loss and are low paid amongst other institutions, government departments. “There must be parity with the 6th pay commission also,” Verma said. “The management is not sympathetic with the members of staff, charge sheets are served on trivial matters even at the time of their retirement thus withholding their terminal dues,” he alleged.
