| Promote ‘national integration’ to pay tributes to Indira | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Nov 20:Senior Congress leader Ashok Bhan urged the party leaders to promote ‘National Integration’ through rallies, symposiums and seminars as a tribute to the sacrifices of Indira Gandhi.
“I join millions of Indians to salute the great leader on this day,” Bhan said while addressing Party lawyers assembled on the National Integration Day in Delhi.
He urged the party cadres and lawyers to dedicate this week for National Integration which has been in peril ‘on account of divisive, separatists and terror elements in the Country who undermine the inherent strength of our Country.’
Bhan said the conviction of ‘National Integration’ was so dear to Indira that she brought north eastern region into the political mainstream.
“Indira Ji’s love for her ancestral home Kashmir made her efforts easier to bring premier separatist party rechristened as National Conference to the political mainstream by side stepping Congress from power in 1975,” he added.
