| | | Motorcyclist held for attempt to murder of cop

JAMMU, Nov 20:Gandhi Nagar police arrested a motorcyclist on the charges of attempt to murder of a cop on duty here today.
Giving information, a police officer said that the incident occurred when during joint naka by Special Operation Group and Gandhi Nagar police in the area, a motorcyclist who was given halt signal by Constable Zahid Ahmed, sped up his motorcycle and hit him badly. The cop was rushed to the GMC hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police after registering the case under section 307 of RPC against the motorcyclist identified as Kamal Kishore son of Om Prakash of Trikuta Nagar, arrested him.
