| Janjagriti Manch to hold protest rally against t New Recruitment Policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Nov 21
The R.S. Pura unit of the Jam Jagriti Manch today organized a public meeting against the new recruitment policy. The JJM has been campaigning against this policy in Jammu City, R.S. Pura and Kathua District. The public meeting was chaired by the state president of the Jan Jagriti Manch- Praveen Kumar.
He condemned this policy as entirely against the welfare of the people. And stated that “In a time of rising inflation when every necessity of life is becoming more and more expensive, the government is threatening to decrease peoples’ income.” This he said, would lead to frustration and create the base for criminality among all sections of the youth. He strongly criticized the government for claiming that it did not need more employees.
He said, “There are so many post vacant in departments across the state. Why are these posts not being filled up?” He criticized the hypocritical stand of the government- “On the one hand, they refuse to expand public services to meet the needs of the growing population, then they claim they don’t need more people. The truth is that people need many more hospitals and schools and the government will need more employees.”
The JJM appealed to all sections of society and especially the youth- of Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu to unite against the new recruitment policy and the larger agenda of Privatization.
