| Symposium organized at GCW Gandhi Nagar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 21: On the eve of Communal Harmony Week, the NSS units of Govt. College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, and Jammu today organized a symposium on the topic "The Role of Youth in National integration".
The SS programme Coordinator, University of Jammu, Jasbir Singh (HOD Economics) was the chief guest.
The Principal of the college, Nalini Kohli presided over the function. The programme started with lighting of the traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
In his welcome address Hans Raj, NSS Programme officer highlighted the activities being carried out in the week long celebration. Supinder Kaur, B.Sc. Part III, Anit Kaur, B.Sc. Part III and Nudrat Zargar, B.Sc. Part III were adjudged 1st , 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Shruti Sharma, Satinder Kaur, Meeru Abrol, Neeraj Sharma were the Jury members. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest, Jasbir Singh encouraged the volunteers to participate in such programmes and stressed upon the need to spread the message of oneness and brotherhood among the masses.
Principal of the college, Nalini Kohli in her speech applauded the efforts of NSS volunteers and the programme officers in organizing the programme.
Ajay Gupta presented the vote of thanks.
