| MLA Poonch holds ‘Public Darbar’ in Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch Nov 21: MLA Poonch Ajaz Ahmed Jan today laid the foundation stone of panchayat ghar at Village khanetar Dhalera in Poonch and also hold a public durbar in Poonch.
The Panchayat ghar will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 20 Lakhs under MGNREGA in convergence with Backward Region Grant Fund (BRGF), a statement said.
The MLA also held a public darbar in Khanetar area and listened to the grievances of public and immediately reacted to their needs and demands. The officers from various line deptts who accompanied the legislator were Manzoor Ahmed, KAS ACD Poonch, Aijaz Qaiser, KAS BDO Poonch, Inspector Billawria SHO Poonch, XEN PHE Mohd Taj Choudary,BMO MANDI Dr Malik. AEE PDD, AEE PWD and officers of Horticulteure agriculture and sheep husbandry.
The MLA lauded the role of army in the area for maintaining peace and communal harmony and helping the people through its sadhbhavana schemes and otherwise too. MLA also toured Saloonia Panchayat in block Mandi where he was warmly welcomed by the sarpanch and panches of Saloonia .The MLA inspected various developmental works under MGNREGA and termed it as the life line of people living in such remote places.
During his tour a total of thirty works of different nature were identified by the people and were sanctioned by the legislator on spot to meet their needs.
Earlier in his address ACD Poonch Manzoor Ahmed lauded the role of panchayat representatives in plan formation and explained in detail the Total Sanitation Scheme for such a poor lot. He advised the public to make full use of central n state sponsored schemes for the overall betterment of community.
