CURDS organize Programme on International Year of Chemistry | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 21: National Council for Urban & Rural Development (regd.) NGO, Jammu jointly with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous body of Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, Noida organized a grand programme under International Year of Chemistry - 2011 at Carmel Convent School, Kunjwani Bye - Pass, Jammu under the patron of Zaffar Ullah Khan, who is also a Founder Secretary General, NCURDS. In the programme, eminent International scientists shall participate, who will deliver lecture on achievements in Chemistry, their uses in day to day life. The programme will continue for three days up to 23rd Nov. 2011 in which various achievements, uses of chemistry Science shall be discussed amongst the sensitize teachers who are invited from various schools on provincial level to participate in the programme. Today the programme was jointly inaugurated by Avinash Aima, Jt. Director Education and Father Ivan Praera, principal Convent school, Bishnah whereas B.K Tyagi, principal Scientific officer, Vigyan Prasar is the Guest of Honour. The Eminent Scientists of International Fame participating in the programme includes Dr. Santosh Mitra from Kolkata. Dr. Swati Bedekar from Broda, Gujarat. Ran Singh from Haryana. B.P Saini from Haryana. Dr. Ashique Hussain from Govt. Degree College, Kishtwar.
